2010 vintage, Spätlase Trocken. Beautifully balanced, hints of petrol mixed with pineapple brulée. Lingering dry finish.

Great tertiary characteristics. Starting to loose a little zip though. May be due to some bottle variation. Have had older vintages that were more youthful. Still a nice wine with lots of bang for your buck.

This Max Ferd. Richter Mülheimer Sonnenlay Riesling Kabinett 2000 has aged gracefully, which is good news for Riesling lovers, since this Mosel gem sells for under $15.00 in the US. On the nose, the merest hint of petrol, but mostly there is fruit; dried pineapple, dried apricot, and delicate citrus. It’s round and full on the palate, with a nice tang of acidity that ends on a Snapple iced tea note along with modest mineral tension. A fine pairing with Baja Fish Tacos, the recipe can be found on Epicurious.

Great finish to a great night! Veering into dry, sick acid. Thanks to @liocomatt!
