Petrol, very full, acrid in a good way (like asafetida), extremely ripe flavors, very surprising balance and moderate alcohol given the ripeness, not sure how they did that, would love to see the vineyard, fantastic wine

Sub-optimal bottle? Quite evolved, even some oxidation notes, but still enjoyable.

Jul 6th, 2019Earthy, gravelly, mineral and then some petrol. Rich and lush on the palate, deep citrus flavours, baked apples, touch of pastry. Just south of dry, acidity and creamy impressions are very well balanced. Great wine.
2008 Knebel Winninger Uhlen Alte Reben Riesling Spatlese Feinherb.
Earthy, gravelly, mineral and then some petrol. Rich and lush on the palate, deep citrus flavours, baked apples, touch of pastry. Just south of dry, acidity and creamy impressions are very well balanced. Great wine.
