Weingut Kerpen
Zero Riesling

Weinkellerei einzig zenzen, tanzende Kätzchen, Riesling Zero.
Dealcoholized German riesling wine.
I need to run a longer distance as part of my training tomorrow so tonight is alcohol-free, but I wanted to experience a casual pour of wine anyway so this came handy. Well, sort of.
The nose has a disturbing scent which is the same exact one you smell in zero beers. That heated metallic smell, mixed with hay and herbs. It smells like canned green peas too. This is not great. The palate is rather sweet with a bit of an acid drive. It's much too sweet for my taste but it's actually much more acceptable than the nose and there are some fresh grape juice and orange jam touches. The finish is quick and leave a sweet after taste in mouth.
I was curious about dealcoholized wine but I'm not sure I will buy any more soon. This serves the purpose of mimicking a drinking experience but the smell and tastes are not really those of a true wine.
@Delectable Wine can you please update the identified wine? Thank you!
