Still so young, 2016 Morstein is thunderously energetic, massively concentrated and immensely powerful. It’s absolutely rocking after 3 hours in the decanter. Next time, I’d like to start it that way. Its aromatics are layered with stone fruit, lemon-lime, fresh green herbs and wet stone. The palate is juicy, intense and infinitely mineral with a seriously long saline finish. Such an incredible expression of Riesling.
