Adank Pinot Blanc

A ridiculously stunning Pinot Blanc and the leanest, most tensile vintage I have tasted from Adank. The nose is pure and beautifully articulated, with apples, pears and subtle mineral complexity. The palate is breathtaking, with crystalline purity, unbelievable concentration and density, nervous acidity and monumental linear architecture. It has the structural authority of a great twenty-year-old Pinot Blanc, yet remains so juicy, elegant and alive that it practically dances across the palate. Mouthwatering, deeply sapid and driven entirely by finesse, with a finish that lasts nearly a minute and a half. One of the greatest Pinot Blancs I have ever tasted.

Insane nose of pear, mineral, spice and pitted fruit. The palate is so elegant, opulent and pure, but the opulence is never vulgar. Completely controlled, with unreal fruit sap, fruit skin, pear intensity, purity and length. Just absurd.

Pinot Blanc is usually “meh” in vinous form but not when it’s made by Patrick Adank. Varietally correct but oh so much more. Unreal purity and out of control finesse. So long, dense, nimble and stunning. Just insane mouthfeel. Art.

Apple, smoke, pear, super clear and elegant, I love the finesse on these young “. simple” vines. Good energy, concentration and sap. Long and juicy and so clean with energy and balance for days. Spicy, mineral, white pepper, so much depth and clean.
