Oppenheimer Kabinett Riesling

Chalky minerality. Limestone. Real and mouthwatering. Hints of tropical fruit. Real good value.

Almost clear with a touch of effervescence. The nose is filled with wet stones, green apple and ripe apricots. Light to medium bodied with flavors of lime zest, green apples and balanced acidity. Hints of saline and limestone on the medium long finish.

A touch sweeter than I generally enjoy. I like some of the gunpowder and wet stone flavors that come through, some fine petrol as well, but am getting hung up on the pineapple, green apple, and apricot which seem over-ripened and but too much.

What a great value! Not totally dry, it had the right amount of sweetness for me. Balanced acidity, too. Fruity, floral, and spicy aromas on the nose; green apple, Asian pear, and ginger flavors on the palate. Perfect pairing with mildly spicy food. 100% Riesling. 4/20/25.

Nice and light. Hint of sweetness, not overwhelming. Would get again.

Dry with some nice floral notes.

Fun and light, drinks like a vinho verde. Very effervescent, not too sweet. Interesting resiling! Drank it with ramp pesto pasta but would be great solo for patio chilling or with seafood.

JL Riesling tasting 4/11/17. $10.20. floral clean nose and balanced palate and good long length. Well integrated and focused ave drier house style. Declassified wine from Herrenberg and Kreuz Rhinehessen.

On the drier and more floral side. Perfect pairing with the first grilled brats of the year.
