Oct 19th, 2018Nose has ripe mango, over-ripe pineapple, crushed apricot, cold yellow melon, resinous oak and wet slate.
Palate has candied pineapple, dehydrated lemon, crushed limestone (salty/tart), lemon zest, apricot with incredibly balance to the acidity/mineral/fruit notes, long finish. Stunning bottle!
Decanted 6H, then double decanted and slow oxidation overnight, this bottle has been open 23H at the time of notes.
In the zone, but still quite youthful, next check-in suggested 2028+. This bottle will have an incredible life ahead, I can't wait to see how this is in another 10-15 years!

Mango and pineapple with a light, moist slate nose on the recent cork pull.
Insane tropical fruit on the palate, awesome minerality/acidity balance and med-long finish. I'm going to be disappointed for sure that I did not buy a case of this, a 4-pack won't be enough. For $33, this is Rheinhessen madness in a glass.

It gets you right away with its beautiful aromatics of peach, pineapple, and minerals. The palate has the same but finishes with grapefruit. A terrific wine.
