This wine is going to be incredible in a few years, lemon, orange blossom, green apple, green pear, minerals, medium plus tannins, nice grip. Well done Walter Scott!

Muted color, widely expansive expression of flowers and fruit. Really hits the bullseye for me. Highly recommended! Enjoyed at The Inn at Pound Ridge.

Limpid yellow. A powerful, mineral-driven bouquet evokes ripe citrus and orchard fruits, jasmine and sweet butter, along with a subtle vanilla note in the background. Palate-staining Meyer lemon and pear nectar flavors are supported by an undercurrent of smoky minerality. Shows excellent clarity and power on the finish, which lingers with strong, mineral-dominated persistence. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, Feb 2018)

Freedom Hill vineyard. Bought at winery. Light yellow in color. Floral and stone fruit notes in nose and yes, matchstick. Lemon, underripe nectarine flavors with a hint of kiwi in the mouth. Good acidity, delicately flavored, mild tongue-coating astringency. A gem of a Chardonnay

“Village Meursault ? Roulot? I’m told no, not even French, 🤔. American😳? Yes. Oregon ? Yes. That is as far as I got. Please take it out of the bag. Reductive nose but a laser like focus in the mouth . A taser like finish of citrus . Will purchase a bottle just to see what this becomes in 5-8 years.

I love the crisp, lemon, briny-ness of this wine. Less oaked than most Napa chardonnay but not quite as mineral as Chablis. $70, 98 pts RP.
