Voyage 4 Red Schooner Malbec
This is Malbec from the Andes produced in Napa following Caymus techniques. Nice.

Mar 3rd, 2018Though Caymus isn't on the front label, you can tell this is theirs by the style of the wine. Caymus purchases the Malbec grapes from Mendoza, ships them chilled to their winery in Napa, and creates each under a different voyage number.
Super dark in the glass. The nose is full of ripe cherries, plums and baking spices. Typical Malbec notes of earthy dark chocolate, and the signature Caymus texture and vanilla on the palate. The finish is very full of fruit concentrate. If someone told me they had recently squeezed fresh blackberries in to this, I would believe it. My wife pulled a random bottle out to pair with our grilled bacon wrapped pork medallions. I think the pairing helped and pushed this to be a 9.

Jan 6th, 2018First, this is produced by Caymus with grapes from the Andes Mountains, and shipped to the Caymus vineyards! This main entry is incorrect, citing that is from South Africa. Some DB at Delectable should fix the entry. Second, it is full, rich, and flavorful. It is amazing. I highly recommend it! Woo!!!

Dec 31st, 2017A rich and wonderful wine. Voyage 4 is just as solid as Voyage 3, but missing the boldness. This is something to be enjoyed and cherished for what it is, a rich and wonderful wine.
