Vintage Port Blend

Intermission wine last night at my daughter's high school play. Gotta love the wine country. I don't drink enough Port.

Juicy dark fruits. Blueberry pancake syrup. Black licorice. Really nice.

Opaque, deep purple color. Elegant, complex nose with aromas of ripe dark fruit, smoke, medicinal notes and hints of eucalyptus and chocolate. Opulent, rich, dense, yet balanced. Dark fruit (morello cherry, blackberry), more herbal, medicinal flavors on the palate. Great texture. Very long finish, with some spiciness lingering in the mouth for a long time

👅Sweet ripe plums & blackberries. Perfumed almonds, chocolate, vanilla, & 5 spice. Silky & creamy texture. Mod sweetness for a V.P. Finishes with eucalyptus. No heat

DAY21
Complex. Beautiful. Balanced

So drinkable now. About as good as 14 yr old vintage port can taste. Every component in balance. Gentle tannins but nice grip and proper acidity. Fantastic over 3 weeks. Looking forward to tracking my remaining bottles of this over time 👍
