Lighting in a bottle!!! Not just a reference to the raw acid and kinetic energy of this wine but also the insanity/ingenuity of the man behind it: the kind of brilliant lunatic who makes a 100% Pinot Blanc champagne (aged on the lees in amphora and neutral oak) and succeeds. A lesser grape, ha! Pristine and powerful with a finish that, like Celine Dion’s heart, goes on and on. Could’ve probably used some more time in bottle to unwind, but to hell with it, it was my birthday and I have no regrets. Paired with fried chicken.

Vintage 2014, November 2016 disgorgement. This wine is a stunner and I could not help but order it when i saw it on the list, despite all the enormous temptations.

Jan 9th, 20182013 vintage, disgorged in December of 2015. 100% Pinot Blanc. Awesome wine with a creamy texture, pure lime juice on the nose. Tropical and mineral at the same time. Yellow cherry. Deep minerality. WOTN
