Richer & broader vs the Reiterpfad, more Meursault rather than Puligny. More Burgundian than Riesling’ian.
Needs a few mins to open up & to show off the ripe peachy, baked lemon, with some nice exotic notes, a bit of freshly baked lemon meringue pie. Elegant, complex, quite complete.
On the palate this is a bit broader, more self-assured, slightly rounder. The (elegant) wood aging a touch more prominent but beautifully balanced with the zingy Riesling acidity. The fruit is more in the back, alongside with the minerality. This is truly a nice one. The best of von Winning’s Erste Lagen?
