It's rare that a late-harvest #Riesling can have such great concentration and intensity while also retaining its innate elegance and fineness. #Ruwer Rieslings by nature are delicate wines that remind us of lace or other such transparent, filigreed fabrics. '99 was a classic late-picked vintage that had some, but not too much, influence of #botrytis. In this case, just enough to give the wine an exotic, tropical fruit aspect hat was truly beguiling--we could have danced all night!
