Maybe I'm partial because Ian made this, but it's an easy contender for best domestic Grüner yet. Varietally correct, weighty in a Smaragd way, mineral & bean-y. Lovely.

This is an enjoyable, respectable wine, but not what I’m looking for in Grüner Veltliner. I’m missing crisp acidity, mineral notes and a little pepper. Maybe the vintage had some influence? I don’t think the oak helps, even though it’s partial and neutral. I’ll stick with the grower‘s rendition.

Way better on the 2nd day, when it showed a bigger old world grüner profile. On the first day the palate was flat. Really good domestic version
