Very sweet the 1st day. So much better the 2nd day after being opened! A great, smooth red. Light and "easy" but not short on flavor

Delicious Carmenere. Pinot Noir body with nice bold berry flavor. For $9.99, what a value! Almost gave it a 9.0, it's that good.

I don't know if I was just unfortunate, or if that is how the varietal should taste, but I too back the first bottle because of how mildewed and vinergary it smelled and tasted. The second wasn't as bad, but still there. The difference in tastes made me think something happened to be wrong with the batch. I hope so, because it seemed that there could've been something good behind the $10 bottle.

Good dark purple color. Nose is a nice cherry with some leather and hints of smoky spices. The pallet is medium bodied, good bright cherry with some earthy tones. Soft to ripe tannins on the back end. My first time trying a Carmenere! Good stuff.
