Strange nose; youthful grapes. Almost a bourbon flavor, which is odd for a Rose. Sweet entry; tangy, almost bitter finish. Interesting attempt; problematic execution.

Vista Hills Vineyard 2011 Pinot Gris Rosé - This one is a bit aged and tired, but always an intriguing wine that the winery is commissioned to make. Still shows the unique sour fruit and savory qualities this rosé exhibits from vintage to vintage, as well as a unique tannic quality. The nose reminds me of a cider. Great with cured meats and citrus fruits.
