According to TW who brought this wine, it’s made out of 100% single-vineyard Grenache, with a portion that was Solera aged. Although I can’t find any information online to verify this, it does explain the maderised aromas on a contradictorily fresh palate. Ripe earthy black fruits with a dash of herbs and caramel (torrefaction?). Finished round and warm. Interesting blind, though near impossible. Not my kind of wine, but paired rather well with cakes.
