On the nose blueberries, plums, cherries, light strawberries, cola, oak, licorice, vanilla, light cloves, spices, peppercorn, earth, leather smoke and chocolates.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, cola, plums, cherries, pine, licorice, earth, light vegetables, cloves, spices, chocolates, graphite and peppercorn.
Medium finish with round tannins and black pepper.
An above-average California Cabernet with nice complexity. A little off balance, but drinkable by itself or with food. A Very typical Cabernet Sauvignon for this price range, from Paso Robles.
I would suggest another year in the bottle, to balance it out nicely, and still keep some tannin structure.
