Vini Biondi
Chianta Etna Carricante
Biondi’s Chianta is mostly Carricante. Interesting how it’s developed - preserved lemon, honeysuckle, melon, thyme, sage. Acidity is integrated

Nov 17th, 2018I've seen bad reviews from people on this wine but I quite enjoyed it. Slight skin contact and time in barrel. There version of a white burgundy is what Ciro said. I work mainly with Italian wine and for me this was quite separate from the rest of Italy in a really good way. I felt the wine to be unique and complex and highly recommend it.

Jun 20th, 2015Etna Bianco comparative study. Oh, where to begin. Ciro mentioned via IG that the wine sees 3 days on skins and old large neutral barrel elevage. There wine seemed flawed but we couldn't resist it. The driving acids and texture fascinated. Given my few years of experience with Ciro's wines, including the often-not-stable Outis line, I'll follow his progress and transformation as a grower. Intriguing failures like this compel me to continue learning.
