Vinha da Neve
Ribeiro Santo Ecruzado
The Portuguese praise the potential of the encruzado grape. But sadly I don’t see it even in this premium bottling. It’s fine but for €30-40 you’ll find plenty of better Portuguese wines.

Dec 25th, 2018Lacks tannin and acid but decent muted fruit and the salinity on the back end is subtle enough to make It interesting.

Dec 23rd, 2018Visited the Dão region and bumped into this producer. I was a bit lost with the varieties but found my preferred region for table wines in Portugal. Advertised as Portugal's burgundy....still to be convinced, but very interested in where these wines may be in the coming decade.
