Very smooth juice. Nose of ripe strawberries. Getting more dark fruit, cocoa, and herbs & spices. Just a dab of vanilla there, as well. The oak is the star of the show though. Not overoaked, just the right amount.

Second taste. Bright garnet glass with translucent red cherry rim. Medium nose of red cherry, red plum, anise, oak, earth, herbs/mint, and hint of vanilla. Mildly tart acid to the palate of red cherry, cola, and bramble. Tiny, grippy, slightly bitter tannins lead to a medium long finish of cherry and oaky bramble with a very subtle hint of cocoa. Note, good balance and structure make this a hidden bargain value at $19.99 for a subtle light bodied wine to accompany your roast chicken or other light dish.

Light body. Nice acidity. Cherry, vanilla, oak and slight earthy/mineral on finish. Fair value wine good with food or conversation.
