With Memorial Day steaks. Vineyard 29's entry level Cab. When Robert Parker talks about glycerin in wine, this is what he means. Not for the anti-flavor wine elite, but delicious and undoubtably American. Great value for Napa.

Decent fruit, much better than when I last had this 3-4 years ago but not a head turner.

Really floral. Beautiful smell. It’s the smell that I like. Not sure how to describe it.
Weird. Smells different in a glasss than in a decanter. Maybe it’s because I can get my nose into the glass more. It’s not as floral. Smell is not over powering with darkness, bitterness in the finish. More vegetation. First taste is sharper and clings to the roof of your mouth. Chocolate and smokeyness. Well balanced. Spices. some of the secondary flavors are coming out. Really good time to drink this bottle. Bell peppers. Good within the first 20 mins. But still some sharpness at the end

Decant started at 7:25
One hour into the decant, edges smoothed out. Getting a deep rich dark berries with baking spices.

Memory lane from the honeymoon. Smooth and enjoyable with one of our last deep dish pizzas in chicago.

Love the balance of the wine --- fruit forward, reddish orange hue ... had a slight chalkish mouth feel as soon as it was opened - but has mellowed
