This is the sort of wine I wish more Spanish wineries would make. Use indigenous varietals, pick when the ripeness and acidity is balanced, and don't oak the crap out of it. Deep, minerally black cherry fruit in the nose. Hint of bark and licorice. Rich, deeply fruit flavors, but with some nice minerality and decent acids . No damn oak, thank God. Not complex, but a joy to drink with dinner.
Imagine how many amazing wines, instead of overoaked crap, would come out of places like Ribera del Duero if this became a trend.

Oct 25th, 2016Beautiful dark burgundy color. Get raisins, red hot balls ( remember those when u were a kid?). and nuts in the nose. Gorgeous mouthfeel. Liquid velvet. Nice acidity. I am really impressed with this!
