Les Serpentières Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Broad, sappy and almost Nebbiolo-like on entry. On the palate, it becomes pure class...the way that Savigny in the hands of masters (Bize, Rollin, Cornu) always does. Taut, mannerly and entirely 2010ish. Years to go, but just fine right now.

Apr 21st, 2019Lovely bright roasted but fresh red fruits. Delicious with wonderful texture and structure. What a delight, long live the 05's!

Mar 21st, 2015Very nice aromatically on cork pop. An absolutely beautiful pairing with a perfectly roast chicken with lots of jus (no surprise there). Lots of earthiness with some restrained dark red fruit coming through. Nice long finish with good acid.

Nov 12th, 2017Still a good amount of baby fat on this and clearly a modern SlB. Intense red currant fruit, allspice, damp earth, medium + acidity. We'll see you again in 5 years.
