Having had my fair share of Sangiovese the first thought I had was”this isn’t a Sangiovese”! But it was an excellent wine nonetheless. This is definitely a wine to pair with food and if you can have it with Italian that’s the way to go! Paired very well with gnocchi bolognese and penne alla vodka with sausage. Not as flavorful once dinner was done but still decent.

Smells like burnt wood and berry sauce. Flavor is clean and ripe. Balance is good. Bright fruits. Berry type. Lovely.
