Croatia might not be the first thing that comes up when you think about good wine, but it's definitely more than capable of producing great wines. Plavac Mali is closely related to Primitivo planted right across the Adriatic sea. Medium bodied with massive tannins even after 5 years in the bottle. Watermelon, dark fruits, herbs, and spices. Looks like it has a great ageing potential.
