This wine has a delightful spicy quality but isn't spicy, a wonderfully smoky scent but isn't smoky, and despite the dryness that you expect on first taste is deliciously light and has only the merest hint of a dry flavor. This was our first foray into Chilean wines, and it was an enjoyable one. We paired this with fajitas and retried beans, but I think it would go extremely well with Moroccan or Indian food - something with peaches or raisins, as the flavor reminded me of fruit and spices drying in the sun.
