Unfortunately this wine is Corked. But had it not been corked it would have been a lovely, big, balanced wine. This rating should not affect future purchases. The 73 has lovely fruit and decent depth of flavor and aroma.

A great comparative tasting of CUNE Vina Real GR vs Imperial with 1976, 1973, 1970, 1966 and 1964. The '73 and '70 Vina Real were my WOTN with a certain sweet grace to them. The Imperial were, on the whole, burlier. For the money, the 73 and 70 are winners. '64 was great but not at twice the price.

yes it is old Rioja night:-) this one will likely improve with more age. Fruit still there and, if u had more, I'd wait another 5yrs to try again.
