This is a punchy, full-bodied wine.

Deep dark red with a purple hue and strong, pleasant black fruit aromas.

Cherry, black fruits and a hint of coffee with tannin that makes the wine smooth - qualifying this, the wine struggled with a spicy pepperoni pizza but was a delight on day 2 on its own and with pork escalopes with cheese spinach in a tomato and red pepper sauce.

Tesco £12.00.

A roller coaster of a wine, not what was expected but an adventure - not to everyone's taste.
Part of the 150 anniversary series this Carmenere from Errazuriz with indeed heavy of black berried fruit, well spiced with with a unique cocoa and yet acidic length to it. Colour is a dark purple-red that reflects the deep taste.
This not an easy drinker by any means, but a bit of an adventure that keeps you thinking. Pairs with food well which brings down its bite, I will definitely be trying the rest of the range.
