On the nose; nice perfumed, floral, medium & dark red fruits; blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, plum and some strawberries on the edges, light herbal notes & pepper, dark, dry soils with a touch of funkiness, fresh dark violets with a touch of red florals.
The body is full. The tannins are big, firm, rounded and just a bit sticky. The fruits are ripe, have a creamy presence and have a slightly candied quality. Blackberries, dark cherries, blueberries, black plum, black raspberries, cherries and a little strawberries. The length, structure, tension and balance are nicely knitted together. Dry top soils, crushed dry rocks, light spice & pepper, just a hint of herbaceous notes, soft leather, tobacco leaf, bright red flowers with a light presence of violets. Acidity is round and beautiful. The finish is ripe, round, fruit driven and well polished.
