I’ve always enjoyed the wines of Viña Cobos, which is Paul Hobbs Argentina venture and partnership with Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud. Their entry level offerings are done under the Felino label and are sourced from selected vineyards in Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza. Purple flowers and incense hover around the core of blackberry, licorice, ganache, and vanilla. This has crowdpleaser written all over it. Shockingly good for the price.

Medium ruby color. Red currant, tobacco, and some spice on the nose. This Paul Hobbs import is a fairly light weight Cab without much tannic grip. 14.4% alcohol.

Hats off to Paul Hobbs, this is a good Cab. Let it breathe and you got yourself a bottle that’s worth it.

Great vanilla nose, blackberry, black cherry, leather, Carmel vanilla finish, with great tannins. Try this wine, Paul Hobbs consults.

Smooth, buttery finish, blackberry notes (smell), not oaky, very aromatic (perfume?).
