2008. This stuff is a trip. Tastes like a dense red that was intentionally beaten into submission to being a mild red wine. Texture is almost pulverized. And yet somehow it remains intact. Plays well with spicy food and seafood.

This one seriously needs to breathe, but after an hour or more it's solid. Strong and earthy, leather. Funky too early though!

Loads of herbs. Funk. Old school island wine. Tanins. Leathery. Very herbaceous to the nose and some oily olive flavors. The locals drink this with "dalmatinska pašticada" a beef based stew stuffed with olives, garlic, cloves, carrots, and bacon then sautéed and marinated in vinegar overnight. Got some nice finish for an '08. Tannins definitely have you satisfied without being overwhelmed. Pop it out and let it sit a bit though.
