A surprising Malbec from Chile.
Nose - typical blueberry vanilla shake, dense, rich, sweet. There’s a hint of cool freshness, a stony minerality but not at the forefront.
The palate is a v. nice surprise.
Quite light, with brilliant juicy freshness. A light & crisp yet present tannic frame, fresh, crunchy blue & red fruit and an energetic flow of juicy acidity. Pure, cool, so fresh.
No plush richness, no jaminess, nothing over cooked. Vibrant, precise, juicy.
After the corked bottle of Gredos Grenache, this proved a delightful match for flanksteak & asparagus.
What a nice surprise!

Very solid. Fresh red fruit, backed by good acidity whilst retaining volume and loads of spices.
