Dialed up and concentrated - too much front end fruit for this to be competitive.

Had the 2021 in November of 2023. Very fruit forward. Lots of blackberry, dark cherry and raspberry that made it seem sweeter than it really was. Needed some time in the glass to round out. Short but smooth finish with hints of spice. Definitely more of a table wine but ended up enjoying this one despite the “scary” first sip. Was a WSJ wine.

2014 vintage. Medium garnet color. Prominent red fruits with a little tartness, short finish. Running hot at 15% ABV. Okay food wine, not great for casual sipping.
