Solid choice, some smokiness and earth and stone in the mid and latter part of the taste, with decently well balanced tannins, some very dark fruit, like dried figs, in the upfront taste or in the nose. Stewed mushrooms, too maybe, with fruit.

Purple to deep red on the edges. Strong & Gentle best describes this d'Abruzzo. Dark ripe plum, balanced acidity & tannin. Enjoyable
