This is a California Sangiovese (that I like). The oak gives it away, so if you are expecting an Italian version, move along. That said its well made, round and would be a great food wine.

Full of energy, strong acidity but not overwhelming. With time it evens out and becomes something new. Great people making the wine as well, well worth a visit!
