Serve this cool (or 30 min in fridge if stored at room temperature) and it's a surprisingly complex 2014 wine. Smells of laid back fruit with earthy spicy undertones. Medium body and more pronounced spice on the finish which is more tart than tannic. This is an underrated Italian red.

Delicious dark berries (esp raspberry), but light-to-medium body. Dry. Tasty! #wsjwine

Dry, slightly sour and definitely spicy. Berries are deep and tannins strong.

Good sipping wine, especially at slightly-chilled temperatures. Has a slight tang to it. Functioned well as a secondary, post-food, herb wine. Somewhat succulent.
