Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese

100% Sangiovese. Bright garnet color with ruby highlights. Light aromas of red berry fruit, fresh violets, leather and wet soil. Flavors of red cherries and bramble berries, tobacco roasted nuts and savory spices. Long on the finish and very bright acidity. Soft texture and medium-minus bodied. Silky tannins. Improved with aeration. Delicate wine that was a pleasant sipper and starter wine. Thanks for the bottle Kase. The group enjoyed this one.

Solid Sangiovese. A bit thin but lots of acidity give it a juicy feel. Light smoke midway through and a hint of cinnamon stick make this more complex than I expected for a pretty standard/accessible Sangiovese. Enjoyable light slightly dry finish.

Smoky, leather

Ripe cherries and pomegranate dance. A basket of rose petals. A bit oaky - cedar, spice. Fresh thyme. This pruny grape (prugnolo gentile) is offering dusty, scratchy tannins and plenty of acid.

Dry, it's OK and not bad for a Tuesday night at home

Wonderful dry wine with beautiful after taste. Very smooth, good bang for your buck. I took it to a dinner party and it was a success!
