Villa Creek Cellars
Paso Robles Carignan
Big and silky. Aromas of dark fruit and lavender essence. Big palate you can sink your teeth into. Barrel aged for 4 and 1/2 years in 80% new Hungarian oak barrique. This is a great example of American old vine Carignan and probably the best from Paso I've ever tasted.

Jul 17th, 2015Cherry, slightly sweet, dark red fruit, a little rich. Pepper throughout. Slightly smoky. Long red fruit finish. Drank for Thanksgiving at home. Elissa bought for me as a gift several years ago. She thought it was a little too rich, which I get but I liked it.
