Cigar box cedar and cherry nose. Not leaping out of the glass, but nice. Musky red flowers. Soil, sous-bois.
Palate is medium weight, acidic Sangiovese wearing strawberries and cherries, touch of wood on the finish, doesn’t feel new. Waiting now for the sausage ragú. Got bigger with more air…. good thing.
For a@wtso, not a bad showing.
You’d like it to be a bit bigger shouldered., but quibbling.
