Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of three days. On Day 1, the florals were center stage and dazzling, but quite a shock to those who have never had Condrieu. By Day 3, the florals and fruit were in complete balance. From my perspective, there was consistency in terms of delivery and quality throughout the three days however preferences may lean one way or another. In the glass, the 2022 pours a straw color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of white flowers, yellow flowers, ripe stone fruits and candied nuts. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose where the stone fruit takes center stage; it’s almost like some sort of buttery peach cup. The finish is long. This is a wine of tremendous texture; oily and viscous. Drink now through 2032.

Fresh white peaches, buttercream, lily. Medium density, great minerality.
