Vigneto Saetti
Rosso Viola Lambrusco
An experiment to see how this premium Lambrusco would play at 4 years. Still vital & less Brett after opening, a bit longer & suave with certainly less fizz. Cassis & black fruits somehow elegant. Perhaps I’m smitten w that paper wrapping under the wire cage.

Sep 9th, 2023Funkiest Lambrusco I’ve had. Likely Serapateona grape variety based on color. No sulfur additions per the producer. Wow.

Jul 10th, 2023Such elegance: quite a bit of Brett has to blow off, & the sour patch uni- dimension opens up to a purer, layered light cherry palate & nose. Beautiful bottle too, with a paper wrap under the capsule and a heavy, well constructed bottle. Dressner importer

Jul 25th, 2020I used to drink Linni Lambrusco (& I still will) but once I found this in my local wine shop....Dry dry but with a lovely raspberry mousse flavor, a sharp acidity. A well constructed bottle too, w foil wrapping beneath the capsule. And goes with most food- thyme scented beef lasagna from the farmers market in this case.

Mar 30th, 2020Lambrusco is the perfect warm weather wine. This has the nose of dirt (that is a good thing) and the palate of lavender, cherry🍒, olives and cured meat. Speaking of cured meat, this fizzy red (serve chilled for optimal perfection) is 👌 with Sopresatta , Finocchiona and Prosciutto. Also, some fancy cheese (dinner is served-you’re welcome💁🏻♀️). Oh and the label is sewn and possibly denim so that’s pretty cool. A.must.try.

Sep 14th, 2018Has become one of my favorite Lambruscos so of course hard to find. Fine, fine persistence w mousse, bitter but toyingly so, like good dark chocolate. Dressner book.

Sep 6th, 2018My true Lambrusco love - earthy (farty) crunchy red berries and pomegranate, super dry, juicy acid, great level of frizz. Woven cloth label is not to be ignored. This is such a killer food wine - muffaletta sandwich from Lucca for lunch and leftover Indian for dinner. Detecting an inkling of mouse at dinner so drink quickly. Shouldn’t be hard.
