Garnet color, center was black and edge was red purple.
Pepper, cacao, chocolate, almond, ink, prune, iron, cassis.
A little sweet fruity attack, then minerals and acid came, after tannin and nice body. Juicy and spicy.

Smooth and silky, deeply concentrated, bramble, plum chocolate and black cherry, nice integration of tannin, not too heavy body, some spice notes coming through, very dry wine but succulent fruit compensates. Very long length for a lighter bodied wine. Tickle of acidity at the end counteracts the tannin.

I almost thought here was American oak, but maybe it's just the grapes. Kind of had a Cali Zinfandel thing going. Some high toned florals. Light chalky tannins. Slightly lower acid, buy not so bad as to be flabby.
