White wine and pasta carbonara? 🥂 We are pairing this amazing Italian dish with some great Italian wine. A bottle from Vie di Romans, Flor di Uis 2017. It is a blend of 57% Malvasia, 35% Riesling, and 8% Tocai.
It is a medium-plus to full bodied dry white wine. The nose delivers aromas of pears, some lyches, honey, minerality, and tons of floral notes. The palate shows some herbaceous and mineral flavors. You can taste lemon tea, honey, and yellow apples and pears. It is a bottle with a rich finish! Really liked it!

Aug 8th, 2020This was a dry, low acid, very floral , feminine wine. A turkey/cranberry sandwich, breaded artichoke, food that wouldn’t over power this delicate feminine wine.
