Jun 26th, 2017Strawberry's on the nose, but not overwhelmingly fruity. Hints of red fruit, tart Apple, light acidity. Not as much structure as other rose's coming out of the southern part of France.

A step up over the ’09, the 2010 Cote Rotie Cote Blonde La Chatillonne (88% Syrah and 12% Viognier) gives up a fabulous bouquet of violets, rose petal, blackberry jam, game and hints of wild herbs that continues to develop in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and finesse driven on the palate, with a seamless texture, this gorgeous 2010 can be consumed now (preferably with a decant), or cellared for a decade or more.

CdR with some backbone. Juniper, dark fruit. Very good food wine.

Apr 3rd, 2017If you can find some lemon basil, pair it with this. It's lovely.

Sep 5th, 2016It's like happy strawberry jam. It's not light or underripe by any means, but doesn't weigh down my palette either. The 65% grenache does most of that work, and is kept grounded by 10% mourvedre. 20% syrah lends a whisper of spice, not overpowering.
