Vintage 2016 | Magnum | Still tannins to my surprise. Needs aeration. Minerals, flint, red fruit. Solid taste. Paired with duck and roasted beetroot.

Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits and sweet floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and cherry with herb spice, licorice and black pepper. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, espresso, smoky spice and mineral character.

Vintage 2017 | Modest appellation, modest price, great quality! Cardinalred colour, blackberry, luscious. Fine producer. Paired with charcuterie: sausage with fennel and sausage with pepper. Monday can’t be better. 😉

This is how good Cotes du Rhone should taste. Bramble fruit, tannin in balance. There was some ripe sweetness, and the alcohol was a bit high, but expected and reflective of the vintage.

Not much by way of complexity...

Tiny production. Three barrels. Gorgeous. Focused. Cherries, spice, some raspberry. Blind I'd say it's an American Syrah. It isn't.

#SommCon - gripping and tannic. Black cherry, cocoa powder, blueberry compote and licorice.

Fresh plum, red cherry, and blueberry. Quite some black pepper on the nose and palate. Moderate acid and soft tannin. Medium plus body..

Nice and meaty, but could use some acid, some zing. It's close to oily. Great value though
