It’s pretty much a spot on Zin nose. Flavors are very much preserves and jam, but balanced. Lots of zippy acid too. It’s not sweet. It just tastes a lot like cooked fruits. But it also has tannins. Plethora of chewy tannins. Something fresh in there too. Green leaves. This is nice, well made wine from a gem of a family Mom-&-Pop winery in Martinez, CA amongst the refineries.

Dec 7th, 2021Lovely in the glass. Red with a blush of plum. Nose is very interesting. Hint of funk. Zinjammy, and smoky. Little bit of mineral oil or linseed oil. Flavor is spectacular. Pure fruit. Tastes very true to the varietal. Pretty tart. Plenty of tannin too. For an under $10 Coastal style Zin, this is a steal.

Aug 29th, 2019Dark fruit, sweet in the nose, cherry, plum. Short finish, not very acidic. Paired with wild game well (venison and bear).

Jan 25th, 2017This is an amazing Zin. From my first sip I knew this was a real gem. I am promptly going back to Diablo Foods to buy a case!
