Because ... $18 from Burgundy never taste so good. Baked apple and pear with a long finish of cinnamon and vanilla. Balanced, with nice dried fruit and spices. Worked nicely with smoked fish dip and fish tacos. Verget Macon-Charnay "Les Clos Saint-Pierre"

2014 vintage. Baked peach and quince on nose. More melon on palate, with the plump structure of Macon and a wood-tinged finish. A little buttery and round.
