Well balanced with endless layers of dark, dry fruit, Cuban cigar, cider, and clove. A fifteen year old Cab driven blend will great vibrancy and intensity. Vergelegen is a beautiful wine estate/farm in South Africa, between Stellenbosch and Somerset. You can tour the hundreds of acres Estate in a landrover like a safari. Fantastic visit!! Talking about visits…we, Spoken Wines, are packing our bags again and start another journey finding wine diamonds in the rough and tell their stories. Not in South Africa this time, but Argentina and Chile! Find us on Instagram to follow our journey. Question: any recommendations for Chile wineries to visit?? We will be in the Aconcagua Valley north of Santiago and in the Rapel Valley south of Santiago. I am not very familiar with Chile and would love to get some recommendations to reach out to. 🙏🙏

Smoked meat bomb on the palate. Chewy, interesting but that meaty note just overpowers. Needs some decanting and patience to enjoy it's nuances

Very good, deep rich flavor. Didn't let it sit long enough and could have opened up even more. I would definitely drink it again, but probably not at the $35-$40 price it's at now. There are many other Capetonian blends that are just as good for less than half the cost.

Wait a while. This wine needs some time in the bottle but could be great!
