Reserva Colchagua Valley Carménère

Bland, flat and uninteresting. A bit of earth but mostly processed fruit. Part of my cheap winter reds purchase. Pass.

If every now and then you just need your Carmenere fix, this one will get the job done...

Unpleasant barn odor, decent red fruit flavors on palate but not something I want to drink again. A bit off

2020 vintage. Light aromas of pepper and black fruit. Soft and velvety on pallet. Medium sized tannins. Good acidity. Decent to good finish.

Beautiful expression of Carmenere. Great balance of fruit and dried herbs. Slight minty notes and soft in the palate

Visual: Clear, Bright. Black redish core, purple opaque core, medium legs,
Nose: bell pepper, olive, black cherry, plum, youthful
Palate: medium tannins, tobacco, sour cherries, rosemary, artichoke, medium length, medium alcohol, balanced.
Food pairings: red meats, burger

Interesting flavor for cheap bottle. Probably too merlotish for me but does have cab hints as well.

Tasting at Cru.

Pretty good. Pairs well with leather couches and imitation Tiffany lamps. Wee bit overpriced from a wine bar, but still quite enjoyed it.
